October 4: SFA Crime Log

Monday October 3, 2011 – Tuesday October 4, 2011

    On 10-4-2011 an Officer observed a suspicious vehicle occupied by two subjects in the Wilson Parking Garage. The Officer made contact with the subjects and discovered both subjects to be in possession of marihuana. There are two suspects.

    On 10-3-2011 an Officer was dispatched to SFA ROTC ropes course storage building in reference to Criminal Mischief. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised between 9-30-2011 and 10-3-2011 the door to the storage building was damaged. There are no suspects.

    On 10-3-2011 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to Credit Card Abuse. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised her debit card was used without her permission to make a purchase on the internet. There are no suspects.

Friday September 30, 2011 – Monday October 3, 2011

    On 10-2-2011 an Officer was dispatched to Steen Hall in reference to a Fight in Progress. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with two female subjects who advised on 10-2-2011 they had been involved in a physical altercation at Steen Hall. Both subjects were issued citations for Simple Assault. There are two suspects.

    On 10-2-2011 an Officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on Starr Avenue. The Officer stopped the vehicle on Raguet St. and discovered the driver to be driving with an invalid driver’s license, in possession of marihuana in a drug free zone, and in possession of brass knuckles which is a prohibited weapon in a weapons free zone. The subject was arrested and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail without incident. There is one suspect.

    On 10-2-2011 an Officer was dispatched to Hall 14 in reference to an Intoxicated Person. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with two subjects in the stairwell of Hall 14. The Officer determined one of the subjects was a danger to himself and others. The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail without incident. The other subject was issued a citation for Minor Consuming Alcohol. There are two suspects.

    On 9-30-2011 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to Assault by Threat.Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 9-29-2011 a known person threatened to assault her with bodily injury at Hall 16. There is one suspect.

    On 9-30-2011 an Officer was dispatched to Kerr Hall in reference to Theft. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 9-30-2011 her unattended clothing was stolen from the second floor laundry room at Kerr Hall. There are no suspects.

Thursday September 29, 2011 – Fridayy September 30, 2011

    On 9-29-2011 an Officer stopped a vehicle on Wilson Dr. for a traffic violation. The Officer discovered the driver to be in possession of marihuana. There is one suspect.

    On 9-29-2011 an Officer observed six suspicious subjects on the top level of Lumberjack Village Parking Garage. The Officer observed one of the subjects throw an item over the top of the garage. The Officer located a marihuana cigarette on the ground where the item would have landed. There are six suspects.

    On 9-29-2011 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to Theft. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised between 9-28-2011 and 9-29-201 her secure bicycle was stolen from the bike rack at Lumberjack Village. There are no suspects.

    On 9-29-2011 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to Theft. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 9-29-2011 her unattended Ipad1 was stolen from the Music Building. There are no suspects.

    On 9-29-2011 an Officer was dispatched to the Boynton Building in reference to Theft. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised between 4-2011 and 9-29-2011 a computer was stolen from the Boynton Building. There is one suspect.

    On 9-29-2011 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to Theft. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised between 9-26-2011 and 9-28-2011 his secure bicycle was stolen from the bike rack at the Student Recreation Center. There are no suspects.

    On 9-28-2011 an Officer was dispatched to Kerr Hall in reference to Harassment. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 9-28-2011 she received unwanted text messages from an unknown person. There are no suspects.

    On 9-27-2011 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to Theft. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised a known person stole money from their organization’s account. There is one suspect.

    On 9-27-2011 an Officer was dispatched to the Lumberjack Village Parking Garage in reference to Hit and Run. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on an unknown date her vehicle was damaged in an unknown location. There are no suspects.

UTILITY CONSTRUCTION TO CAUSE STREET CLOSURES

     Oncor Electric Delivery construction crews will be performing construction on power lines in the vicinity of the Courthouse and Police Station beginning at approximately 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night, October 4th.

     West Main will be closed to thru traffic from the North Street intersection to Old Tyler Road. Pearl Street will be closed from Baxter-Duncan Street to West Main Street. Hospital Street will be closed from North Street to Pearl Street. Streets will be closed to thru traffic until approximately 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 5th.

     Access to the Nacogdoches Police Department will be from the intersection of Main and North Streets. Come to the front doors of the building as usual.
