     Mrs. Linda Faye Schreiber Craig, 58, passed away on March 2, 2012 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born on September 30, 1953 in Collins, Mississippi. She is survived by husband Richard Craig. Family and guests are invited to a Celebration of life service on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the Vineyard Church, 4140Fm 1878 in Nacogdoches at 2:30 pm.

Obituary: David Lee Roberts

     David Lee Roberts, 66, passed away in Houston, Texas on March 8, 2012. He was born on September 23, 1945 to parents Morris Leman Roberts and Mary Ella Bryan in Odessa, Texas.

     A committal service will take place at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 9:00 am. The United States Marines will render Military Honors.

     Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Celebration/Open House at Millards Crossing on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 4:00 pm -6:30 pm.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Fisher House, Building 3623, George.C Beach Road, Fort Sam Houston, Texas 7823-6200.

Thursday March 8, 2012 – Friday March 9, 2012

On 3-8-2012 an Officer was dispatched Kerr Hall in reference to Theft. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 3-8-2012 her unattended clothing was stolen from the 3rd floor laundry room at Kerr Hall. There are no suspects.

On 3-8-2012 an Officer was dispatched to the Native Plant Center in reference to a verbal disturbance. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with two subjects, one of the subjects had been previously barred from SFA’s campus. The subject was arrested for criminal trespass and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail without incident. There is one suspect.

On 3-8-2012 an Officer was dispatched to the Parking and Traffic Office in reference to Hit and Run. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 3-5-2012 her unattended vehicle was damaged in the Wilson Parking Garage. There are no suspects.

Wednesday March 7, 2012 – Thursday March 8, 2012

On 3-7-2012 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to a Theft. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 3-7-2012 her unattended backpack was stolen from the Music Building. There are no suspects.

On 3-7-2012 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to a Theft. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 3-7-2012 his unattended cell phone was stolen at the Steen Library. There are no suspects.

On 3-7-2012 an Officer was dispatched to Hall 14 in reference to a Theft. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 3-7-3012 her unattended cell phone was stolen from her backpack at the Miller Science Building. There are no suspects.

Tuesday March 6, 2012 – Wednesday March 7, 2012

On 3-6-2012 an Officer was dispatched the lobby of UPD in reference to Credit Card Abuse. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 3-5-2012 he discovered that his credit/debit card number had been used in Georgia without his permission. There are no suspects.

Monday March 5, 2012 – Tuesday March 6, 2012

On 3-5-2012 an Officer was dispatched SFA’s Counseling Services in reference to Harassment. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 2-2-2012 she was sexually assaulted by a known person at Lumberjack Village. At this time, the victim does not wish to pursue criminal charges against the suspect. There is one suspect.

On 3-5-2012 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to a Theft. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised between 2-28-2012 and 3-5-2012 her secure bicycle was removed from the bike rack at Lumberjack Village. There are no suspects.

On 3-5-2012 an Officer was dispatched to the SFA Graphic Shop in reference to a Theft. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 3-5-2012 a subject came into their business and left without paying for copies that they had made. The subject was located by an Officer in the Baker Pattillo Student Center and the subject paid for the copies. There is one suspect.

Friday March 2, 2012 – Monday March 5, 2012

On 3-4-2012 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to a Burglary of Motor Vehicle. Upon arrival the Office r made contact with the complainant, who advised on 3-4-2012 an item was stolen from his secure vehicle in Lot 14. There are no suspects.

On 3-3-2012 an Officer was dispatched to Kerr Hall in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised between 3-2-2012 and 3-3-2012 numerous items were stolen from her secure residence at Kerr Hall. There are three suspects.

On 3-3-2012, an officer was dispatched to Steen Hall in reference to two Burglary of a Habitation. The officer made contact with the complainants who stated that an unknown person(s) entered their room and stole several items from their unsecure residences. There are three suspects.

On 3-202012 officers were dispatched to Steen Hall East Tower in reference to several suspicious males. Upon arrival, officers observed four males exiting through the east tower fire doors. As officers identified themselves as Police Officers and approached the suspects, three of the four ran from the officers. The officers apprehended the one that did not run and two of the suspects that did run. During the apprehension of one of the suspects, the suspect resisted arrest and injured the arresting officer. During further investigation, it was found that the suspects had burglarized a residence in Steen Hall. One of the suspects was charged with Criminal Trespass (previous disbarment from campus), Burglary of a Habitation, and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. The other two arrested were charged with Evading Arrest/Detention, Burglary of a Habitation, and Engaging in Organized Criminal activity. Also, one of the suspected was charged with Resisting Arrest and Assault on a Peace Officer. Further investigation is still pending by the University Police Department. There are three suspect.

On 3-2-2012 an Officer was dispatched to Kerr Hall in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with two complainants, who advised on 3-2-2012 numerous items were stolen from their unsecure residence’s at Kerr Hall. There are three suspects.

On 3-2-2012 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 3-2-2012 her cell phone and laptop was stolen from her unsecure residence at Steen Hall. There are no suspects.

Thursday March 1, 2012 – Friday March 2, 2012

On 3-1-2012 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to Assault. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 3-1-2012 she was assaulted by a known person at Lumberjack Landing. There is one suspect.

Wednesday February 29, 2012 – Thursday March 1, 2012

On 2-29-2012 an Officer was dispatched to Lumberjack Lodge in reference to an Assault. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 2-29-2012 she was assault by a known person near the William R. Johnson Coliseum. The complainant refused to pursue with criminal charges. There is one suspect.

On 2-29-2012 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to a Theft. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised that between 2-24-2012 and 2-29-2012 her secure bicycle was stolen from the bike rack at Hall 14. There are no suspects.

On 2-27-2012 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to a Hit and Run. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised between 2-25-2012 and 2-26-2012 his vehicle was damaged on Clark St. There are no suspects.

On 2-27-2012 an Officer was dispatched to Hall 20 in reference to a Terroristic Threat. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 2-27-2012 he received a threatening phone call from an unknown person. There are no suspects.

On 2-28-2012 an Officer observed the entry gate to the Student Center Parking Garage had been damaged. Upon further investigation it was found that an unknown person riding a skate board had hit the gate causing damage. There are one suspect.

Friday February 24, 2012 – Monday February 27, 2012

On 2-25-2012 an Officer was dispatched to Lot 8 east in reference to Criminal Mischief. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 2-25-2012 his vehicle’s window was damaged on Baker St. There are no suspects.

On 2-24-2012 an Officer was dispatched to the Wilson Dr. Parking Garage in reference to Burglary of a Motor Vehicle. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 2-24-2012 items were stolen from his unsecure vehicle in the Wilson Parking Garage. There are no suspects.

On 2-24-2012 an Officer was dispatched to the Wilson Dr. Parking Garage in reference to Hit and Run. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 2-24-2012 her unattended vehicle was damaged in the Wilson Dr. Parking Garage. There are no suspects.

Starter plants this weekend at the Farmer’s Market

     Just in time for spring planting, Virginia McDowell will be selling flower starter plants.

     Things to look for: baked goods (breads, cakes, cookies & pies), candles, canned goods (wild-picked jams & jellies including may haw, blackberry, blueberry, muscatine and wild plum as well as jams, marmalades, preserves, chow-chow, pickled vegetables, salsas & relishes), ceramics, artisan Texas cheeses, freshly ground organic corn meal and whole wheat flour, free-range eggs, herbs (basil, coriander, mint, oregano, parsley, rosemary & thyme), dried herbs, local raw honey, jewelry, plants (house plants, bedding plants, trees & whips), smoothies, soaps (lye and herbal), ribboncane syrup, tamales, vinegars and fruit wines. LOCAL PRODUCE: arugula, frozen shelled beans (butter, baby Lima & pinto), beets, broccoli, cabbages, carrots, greens (collard, kale, mustard, spinach, Swiss chard & turnip), kohlrabi, mixed lettuce, frozen okra, onions, frozen shelled peas (black eye, brown Crowder & zipper cream), pecans (cracked, shelled & unshelled), new potatoes, squash (acorn, banana, butternut, kushaw, patti pan, piñata, spaghetti & Turk’s turban), radishes, sweet potatoes & turnips.
