Obituary: Maria Guadalupe Perez Diaz

Maria Guadalupe Perez Diaz, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Juan Eugenio, Coahuila to parents Mauricio Perez and Felipa Diaz.

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, October 12 at Tabernaculo de Vida by Pastor Richardo Garcia at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Trout Creek Cemetery in Call, Texas.

Friends and family are invited to visitations on Friday, October 11 from 6-8 pm at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors and Saturday, October 12 from 10-12 am at Tabernaculo de Vida in Nacogdoches on Highway 21 prior to the service.

Obituary: Harry Wilson Holloway, III

Mr. Harry Wilson Holloway, III, age 55, passed away at his residence on Monday, October 7, 2013 in Douglass, Texas. He was born on July 12, 1958 in Texas City to parents Harry W. “Barney” and Edith Marie Holloway, Jr.

Harry is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Billy Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Bridget Holloway of Douglass; daughter, Chrissy Gresham and husband Joe of Cushing; son, Cody Holloway of Douglass; parents, Barney Holloway and wife Edith of Central Heights; sister, Sandra Jones and husband Robert of Texas City; mother-in-law, Barbara Smith of Rusk; and four nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Jon McClain on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel. Interment will follow at Rock Springs Cemetery.

Friends and family are invited to visitation on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 5-7 pm at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, 5400 North Street, Nacogdoches, Texas, 75965.

UPDATED INFORMATION- KIDNAPPING; 1300 EAST STARR; 10-1-2013

The investigation into this reported kidnapping has resulted in an arrest for False Report to a Peace Officer.

Nacogdoches Police arrested Melrina Jessica Stemn, 23 of Nacogdoches yesterday on a warrant. She was taken to the Nacogdoches County Jail.

Stemn reported last week that she was kidnapped in the 1300 block of East Starr Avenue by a black male suspect. After investigating this report for over a week, NPD detectives determined that this report was fabricated.
