Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Accident; 3200 Block of North St

Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Accident; 3200 Block of North St.

The Nacogdoches Police Department has investigated an auto-pedestrian accident in the 3200 block of North Street (Business US 59) that has left a local man dead.

The accident was reported tonight at 6:27PM.

The pedestrian has been identified as Vernis L. Davis, age 74 of Nacogdoches. The investigation indicates that Mr. Davis was crossing North Street from east to west when he was struck by a southbound 2003 Chevrolet pickup driven by Timothy P. Taylor, age 34 of Nacogdoches.

Mr. Davis was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

No charges have been filed in connection with the accident.
