At 3:02 PM yesterday afternoon, Nacogdoches Police attempted to locate a felony fugitive wanted out of the state of California. Officers went to an address in the 100 block of Ritchie Street, where officers were able to make visual contact with the suspect. The suspect then ran back inside the residence and refused to come out.
NPD crisis negotiators responded and make contact with the suspect. Officers attempted to get the suspect to come out, and surrender. These negotiations continued for over four hours.
Nacogdoches SWAT officers deployed irritant inside the house, and the suspect continued to refuse to come out.
The negotiators again attempted to get the suspect to come out and surrender, but he refused.
At 8:30 pm, the Nacogdoches SWAT team made entry to the house and took the suspect into custody. No one was injured.
The suspect is identified as 49 year old Lamar Dwayne Allen. He is wanted out of Los Angeles California on a revocation of felony parole warrant-rape with force. He will be held for California authorities.
In addition to NPD, The Nacogdoches Sheriffs Department, Texas Highway Patrol, Constable Pct 1, Nacogdoches Fire Department and Nacogdoches County EMS responded to the call.

RECONVENE BOARD MEETING IN OPEN SESSION
ESTIMATED ADJOURNMENT OF BOARD MEETING (approximately 2:30 p.m.)
