(JANUARY 10, 2024): Nacogdoches Police responded to the 3700 block of N.E. Stallings Dr. around 2:20 p.m. this afternoon after receiving calls of a major accident involving two vehicles. The accident involved a passenger vehicle and a commercial vehicle. The driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Justice of the Peace. The adult male victim’s identity is being held until next of kin is notified. The two occupants of the commercial vehicle were transported by ems with what is believed to be non life threatening injuries. The NPD Traffic Division is currently on scene to assist in the investigation and will be conducting an accident reconstruction. All eastbound lanes in the 3700 block of N.E. Stallings Dr. will be closed for the next several hours. Please avoid the area. As further information becomes available it will be released.
Update:
(January 11, 2024): The victim of Wednesday afternoons fatality accident in the 3700 block of N.E. Stallings Dr has been identified as Timothy Embargo, 23 years of age from Nacogdoches,Tx. Based upon our preliminary investigation we have determined that Mr. Embargo was traveling westbound in a 2019 white BMW when he crossed over into the eastbound lanes striking a 2013 Ford F750 that was traveling eastbound in the 3700 block of N.E. Stallings Dr. Both the driver and the passenger in the Ford were both transported by EMS for minor injuries. This is an ongoing investigation.
