HOMICIDE SUSPECT ARRESTED

Around 8:30 p.m. on October 24th 2019 Officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department responded to an adult male victim laying in the roadway in the 2200 block of Pearl St. When responding Officers arrived to the scene they determined the victim did not appear to have been hit by a vehicle and was suffering from what was believed to be a puncture wound to the chest area. During the course of the investigation investigators developed probable cause to believe the injury to the victim was a result of being stabbed by a knife. The victim was identified to be Curtis Washington 51 years of age from Nacogdoches, Tx. Curtis was rushed to an area hospital but was later pronounced deceased. Officers located the suspect still on scene and identified her to be Milanikii Ybarra 29 years of age from Nacogdoches,Tx. Ybarra and the victim resided together but were not believed to have still been in a dating relationship. Ybarra was taken into custody and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail on the charge of Murder F-1.

This is an ongoing investigation. An autopsy has been ordered by the Justice of the Peace. When further information becomes available it will be released.
