Obituary: Geneva Deville Franks 1934 – 2011

     Geneva Deville Franks, age 76, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at Westward Trails in Nacogdoches.

Geneva Deville Franks 1934 - 2011

     Mrs. Franks was born Nov. 22, 1934, in Deville, Louisiana, as a daughter of Jack Pearson Deville and Hattie Reed Deville. She had lived in Nacogdoches for several years and retired as a nursing assistant with Pinecrest Nursing Home. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

     She is survived by her daughters, Debra Franks Turnham and Roxann Franks Zapata, both of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Tabitha Franks Bond of Ball, Louisiana, Wayne Franks Jr. of Pollock, Louisiana, Timothy Turnham and Thomas Turnham, both of Waco, and Kelly Turnham, Brandi Turnham, and Jacob Wayne Zapata, all of Nacogdoches; great-grandchildren, Adrianna Turnham of Nacogdoches, Kristen Bond, Leah Ann Bond, Zakk Bond, and Taylor Bond, all of Ball, Louisiana, Haden Thomas Turnham of Glen St. Mary, Florida, and Benjamin Turnham of Nacogdoches; a brother, Jack P. Deville of Boyce, Louisiana; sisters, Ovada Luno of Deville, Louisiana, and Ginnie Woods of Bossier City, Louisiana; and a host of nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ben J. Franks; and sons, Wayne Franks, Stanley Franks, and Bobby Franks.

     Funeral services have been set for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, located at 5400 North Street, Nacogdoches. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, located on Hwy. 21 East, Nacogdoches.

     Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, followed by a rosary at 7:30 p.m.
