Obituary: Earl Longacre 1917 – 2011

     Mr. Elmer Earl Longacre, age 93, of Garrison, Texas, passed away early Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, at Nacogdoches Medical Center.

     He was born Nov. 23, 1917, in Tyler, Texas, to John B. and Nancy (Beal) Longacre. Mr. Longacre retired from Exxon after working several years in reasearch and development.

     He is survived by his son, William L. “Bill Longacre and wife Judy of Tyler, Texas; daughter, Linda J. Peloquin and husband Hugh of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren, Casey Longacre of Whitehouse, Texas, Amy Rivers and husband Shawn of Whitehouse, Texas, and Bryan Roy of Baytown, Texas; and five great-grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Lucille Longacre in 2010; a grandson, Michael Longacre; and his parents, John B. and Nancy Longacre.

     Service details are pending and will be announced later.
