Obituary: Mrs. Myrtice Marie Wilson

     Myrtice Marie Wilson, 88, of Nacogdoches, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 30, 2011, surrounded by her family.

     Mrs. Wilson was born Sept. 3, 1922, in Nacogdoches County daughter of the late Marshall Rayburn and Ellen Jane (McCaskell) Rayburn and was a lifelong area resident. She was a wonderful wife and mother to her family and enjoyed working with her flowers. She loved her Lord very much and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

     Survivors include her son, John Cecil Wilson and wife Gayle; her daughters, Marsha Worsham and husband Mike, Janice Rivas and husband Phillip; five grandsons, Keven Wilson and wife DeAnna, David Wilson and wife Rochelle, Billy Jack Worsham and wife Mendy, Joe Pat Worsham and fiancĂ© Melodia Lacy, Andrew Rivas and wife Dee Anne; two granddaughters, Marcie Worsham Shoemaker and husband Don, Crissy Rivas Mattlage and husband David; and 13 great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John Dale Wilson; a son, Billy Wayne Wilson; her parents; five brothers; and five sisters.
Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, located at 5400 North St., Nacogdoches. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery on FM 2112.

     Visitation will be held Monday, May 2, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf, located at 5400 North Street, Nacogdoches.

     Pallbearers: Keven Wilson, David Wilson, Billy Jack Worsham, Joe Pat Worsham, Don Shoemaker, and James Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Rivas, Troyis Wilson, Wilburn Wilson, and Gary Campbell.

     In lieu of flowers, consider donations to the Gideons, Shady Grove Cemetery Association, or a charitable organization of your choosing.
