The SFA College of Fine Arts and School of Music will present the Piney Woods Camerata at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 10, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus.
The conductor-less ensemble formed in 2007, is composed of SFA string faculty members Drs. Jennifer Dalmas (violin) and Evgeni Raychev (cello) together with select SFA string students. The group is dedicated to performing music from the baroque and classical periods. For the April 10 concert, pianist Dr. Geneva Fung, SFA staff accompanist, will join the group.
The program will feature “Concerto Grosso No. 7” by Arcangelo Corelli and works by other leading composers of the late baroque period, including Tomaso Albinoni and Georg Philipp Telemann.
