On June 5, 2019 around 11:03 a.m. Officers responded to a major accident in the 3100 block of Southwest Stallings Dr. This was a two vehicle accident involving a white 2012 Mack truck tractor and a red 2017 Peterbilt truck tractor. The entire southbound portion of the highway was blocked.

Based on information obtained from the scene it is believed the white 2012 Mack truck being operated by Terry McCauley 29 years of age from Bivins, Tx was traveling northbound and lost control of the truck. The truck crossed over the unprotected median and into the southbound lanes striking the red 2017 Peterbilt that was being operated by Robert Beachman 24 years of age from Mississippi.

The Nacogdoches Police Department’s traffic division responded along with numerous other officers, fire department personnel and EMS. Both drivers of the trucks were transported to the hospital and are believed to be in stable condition. Southbound traffic was rerouted for almost six hours.
