Good Friday Sanitation Collection Schedule
Public works administration offices will be closed Friday, April 10, 2020 for Good Friday. There will be no commercial garbage collection on Friday, April 10, 2020. Garbage collection will resume on Saturday April 11, 2020. Collection will be delayed by one day from your regular scheduled pick-up day beginning and ending Saturday, April 11, 2020. Residential collection will not be affected. The landfill will also be closed on Friday April 10, 2020 and will re-open Saturday April 11, 2020.

Nacogdoches Landfill to close to residential customers beginning April 3

As a precautionary measure coupled with the Nacogdoches Stay Home, Stay Safe order and the newly announced Governor Executive Order, the City of Nacogdoches Landfill will be closed to residential customers only starting April 3, 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 virus, until further notice.
Commercial customers will still be allowed access to dump their commercial waste at our landfill with some restricted access to employees.
The City of Nacogdoches Public Works department will continue to serve our residential customers essential waste needs which include the following services:
Weekly residential curbside trash collection
Curbside leaf collection
Curbside brush collection
Recycling is open behind the library for cardboard only
Oil recycling centers at Fire Stations 3 & 4 will remain open
The City of Nacogdoches encourages our residents to utilize their time at home by getting outdoors and trimming trees. Practice “Stay Home, Stay Safe” by putting limbs by the curb and our brush collection service will continue to meet increased needs.

SFA education programs ranked among best value, most affordable online graduate degrees
Stephen F. Austin State University’s online special education and English as a second language master’s degrees were ranked among the top 25 best value online degrees in their respective categories by Optimal, a resource that helps prospective students make informed, data-driven decisions to improve their collegiate experience and their post-college careers.
In addition, SFA’s educational leadership, secondary education and special education master’s degrees were listed among the top 25 most affordable online degrees in their respective categories.
“The faculty and staff in each of SFA’s online graduate education programs are ready to meet students where they are and work with them to achieve their goals,” said Dr. Judy Abbott, dean of SFA’s James I. Perkins College of Education. “We know our online students often have professional and family obligations, so we try to accommodate those while providing a high-quality education their future students will benefit from.”
Optimal published its 2020 Best Value Colleges rankings at GuidetoOnlineSchools.com for 121 programs. The rankings are based on degree-level and program-specific tuition rates and salary data. The salary figures reflect median midcareer salaries of graduates to show the 10-year return on investment.
For students interested in online accredited degrees with the lowest cost, Optimal released its 2020 Most Affordable Online Colleges rankings at OnlineU.org. These 152 program rankings highlight schools making an effort to provide an economical option for prospective students.
