Obituary: Liska Faye Burt Fancher

     1946 – 2011

     Liska Faye Burt Fancher, 64, of Garrison, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at a Nacogdoches hospital.

     Mrs. Fancher was born Sept. 26, 1946, in Nacogdoches to Travis James “Sport” Burt and Ruby Nell Fears Burt. She was a homemaker. She and James A. Fancher were married July 2, 1971.

     She is survived by her mother, Ruby Nell Burt of Nacogdoches; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Johnny Williamson of Garrison; son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Tana Elliott of Houston; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Tyler Copeland and Julie, Heath Copeland, Logan Elliott, Sadie Elliott, six step-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Peggy Burt of Garrison; sisters-in-law, Sharon Fancher and Brenda Fancher, both of Martinsville; and other relatives, including Karen Elliott and nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Fancher; and her father, Sport Burt.

     Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011, at the Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, Nacogdoches. Interment will follow at Libby Cemetery in Nacogdoches County.

     Visitation will be held Thursday, March 3, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches.
