The event invites Lumberjacks and their families in Nacogdoches County to engage with the association and meet up with fellow SFA enthusiasts.
“We strive to engage and involve alumni everywhere, as well as their families,” said Amie Ford, coordinator of alumni events and engagement. “Each year, we have numerous events tailored toward alumni in cities across Texas. This is meant to directly target families in and around the university’s hometown.”
The event includes:
a private party for Lumberjack family and friends
a showing of the movie “The Bad Guys”
discounted admission to the water park
glow items and glow-in-the-dark balloon animals
a Big Splash contest
a DJ
and SFA “swag.”
In addition to regular concessions, purple fried Oreos and funnel cakes will be available for purchase, as will $7 wristbands that are good for two snacks and unlimited drinks. Admission is $5 per person, and tickets will be available at the door. Parking is free.
The deadline to register online is Sept. 9 at sfaalumni.com/glowparty.
