February 17: NPD Crime Report

     THEFT; 1100 BLOCK OF NORTH UNIVERSITY DRIVE. COMPLAINANT ACCIDENTALLY LEFT HIS BLACKBERRY PHONE ON A COUNTER AT A BUSINESS. WHEN HE RETURNED, THE PHONE HAD BEEN STOLEN.

     DWLI; 100 BLOCK OF WEST SPRADLEY. A VEHICLE WAS STOPPED FOR TRAFFIC. THE DRIVER WAS FOUND TO HAVE A SUSPENDED DRIVERS LICENSE AND WAS ARRESTED.

     HIT AND RUN;1000 BLOCK OF NORTH MOUND. COMPLAINANT’S VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND UNATTENDED IN A PARKING LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BY AN UNKNOWN VEHICLE WHICH LEFT THE SCENE.

     FALSE REPORT; 300 BLOCK OF KING STREET. COMPLAINANT REPORTED THAT HIS ROOMATE HAD STOLEN HIS TELEVISION. THE COMPLAINANT THEN THREATENED TO FILE CHARGES ON HIS ROOMATE FOR THEFT IF HE DID NOT PAY RENT. THE TELEVISION WAS NOT STOLEN. A WARRANT HAS BEEN REQUESTED FOR THE ORIGINAL COMPLAINANT.

     DWI; 100 BLOCK OF TRAVIS STREET. A VEHICLE WAS STOPPED FOR RUNNING A STOP SIGN. THE DRIVER WAS CONTACTED AND SUSPECTED OF BEING INTOXICATED AND WAS ARRESTED.

     ASSAULT; 1700 BLOCK OF EAST STARR. DURING A DISTURBANCE, A KNOWN SUSPECT PUSHED THE COMPLAINANT DOWN, CAUSING A MINOR SCALP INJURY.
