NACOGDOCHES POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATING SHOOTING

(August 6, 2021): Around 1:43 a.m. the Nacogdoches Police Department responded to the Orton Hill Apartment Complex after receiving reports of gunshots. Officers arrived locating two teenagers that had suffered multiple gunshot wounds while they were sitting in a parked vehicle. The suspects are believed to have fled in a vehicle prior to officers arriving. Both teenagers were transported to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital with what is believed to be non life threatening injuries. Our officers are still currently on scene in the 3000 block of EJ Campbell Blvd where the shooting occurred. As further information becomes available it will be released.
