beefJoin the Nacogdoches County Historical Foundation at the second annual Nacogdoches Beefsteak Dinner on October 13th. You can feast like a 19th century politician at this New York style Beefsteak Dinner, which will be held as a fundraiser for the continued restoration of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Like the New Yorkers of yesteryear, guests who attend the banquet will have more than their share of bottomless meat, bread, and beer, but receive no forks, plates, or napkins. All courses are served family style at your table and each diner will be given an apron to use for wiping their hands.

The banquet will consist of meat, bread and beer donated by local restaurants. Our local restaurants and partners participating this year are: Butcher Boys, Nacogdoches Medical Center, Clear Springs, Auntie Pastas, Pilgrim’s Pride, the Nacogdoches Jaycees, R & K Distributors, Ralph & Kackoos, CC’s Smokehouse, Cotton Patch Café, SFA Hospitality Department, University Rental and Texas Size Bling, Newks and Wing Stop. This year’s event will be held on Friday, October 13th at 7:00 p.m. at Mast Hall. Tickets can be purchased at the Sterne-Hoya House Museum and Library, the Nacogdoches Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), or from any Nacogdoches County Historical Foundation Board Members. Individual tickets will cost $50, and tables of 8 will be sold for $400.
