Keep Texas Beautiful will provide a training session tailored to the initiatives of affiliates and interested communities within the East Texas region, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on September 13 at the Ina Brundrett Conservation Education Building at SFA Gardens in Nacogdoches, TX.
The training will feature presentations from Keep Texas Beautiful Senior Program Director Christine Chute Canul, Keep Nacogdoches Beautiful Executive Director Katie Blevins, and Angelina Beautiful Clean Executive Director Jennifer La Corte. Highlighted topics will include Program Evaluation, Sustainability of Affiliates, and Media Outreach. Keep Nacogdoches Beautiful hopes for these sessions to assist in development of nonprofit organization structure, effective programming, and media outreach and communication.
Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) offers free training programs in the organization’s three focus areas of litter prevention, beautification and waste reduction to inspire, strengthen and grow their affiliate network and bolster community engagement. Training sessions range from beginner to advanced levels and are offered on a variety of topics including, but not limited to, Affiliate Coordination, Award Applications, Board Development, Event Planning, Fundraising, Recycling, Social Media, Volunteer Management and Youth Programs. In addition to educational resources, regional trainings are also a great networking opportunity for affiliates to meet and learn best practices from each other. Training sessions are a benefit of Keep Texas Beautiful Affiliation, made possible by Texas Department of Transportation and our Keep Texas Beautiful sponsors and partners.
