“The TFEA Marketing and Communication Awards program recognizes excellence in campaigns used to promote festivals and events,” said TFEA Executive Director Kay Wolf. “This competition recognizes the creativity and professionalism of the Texas festivals and events industry.”
A total of 488 entries were judged by a panel of marketing professionals, and the awards were presented at the TFEA’s Annual Conference Awards Luncheon held on July 23 in Corpus Christi.
Texas Blueberry Festival Chair Grace Handler, Nacogdoches County Chamber Chairman Rusty Rust, Chamber Interim President/CEO Bill Teague and Membership & Marketing Manager Kelly Daniel traveled to the luncheon to receive the awards.
“The festival committee is proud of this year’s festival art featured on the poster and the t-shirt,” Handler said. “Our town, festival and presenting sponsor are named in the visual. Along with that good branding, there is a special and unique meaning with the Nacogdoches Tricentennial logo included in the design.”
The Texas Blueberry Festival t-shirt and poster design were a collaborative effort among Tattoo Productions Owner Jimmy Crow, Handler and Nacogdoches County Chamber staff.
Festival t-shirts and posters are available at the Chamber, 2516 North St. The poster is $10, and t-shirts are available in small, medium and x-large sizes for $16.
