November 8 Crime Log: Two arrest made for 175 grams of marijuana

PUBLIC INFORMATION REPORT FOR MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2010
INFORMATION FROM 0600 11.7.10 to 0600 11.8.2010

     POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA (FELONY); 1200 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. OFFICER STOPPED A VEHICLE FOR A TRAFFIC VIOLATION. DURING THE INVESTIGATION, OFFICERS DISCOVERED OVER 175 GRAMS OF SUSPECTED MARIJUANA INSIDE THE VEHICLE. LADARRIAN DONTRELL SMITH AND DIAMOND MONIQUE ALEXANDER WERE ARRESTED.

     HIT AND RUN; 3400 BLOCK OF SE STALLINGS DRIVE. COMPLAINANT’S PARKED VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BY ANOTHER WHICH LEFT THE SCENE WITHOUT GIVING INFORMATION.

     BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE; 2500 BLOCK OF PEARL. AN UNSECURED VEHICLE WAS ENTERED AND A STEREO SYSTEM TAKEN.

     BURGLARY OF A HABITATION; 300 BLOCK OF RITCHIE STREET. A PLASMA TV, A WII GAME AND FIVE GAMES WERE TAKEN FROM A RESIDENCE WITHOUT PERMISSION.

     DWI-HIT AND RUN; 200 BLOCK OF MITCHELL STREET. A WITNESS OBSERVED A VEHICLE STRIKE A PARKED CAR AND LEAVE THE SCENE. THE WITNESS CALLED POLICE AND OFFICERS LOCATED THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER WAS CONTACTED AND SUSPECTED OF BEING INTOXICATED AND WAS ARRESTED.

     FAILURE TO IDENTIFY-DWLI; 1100 BLOCK OF RITCHIE STREET. OFFICERS CONTACTED THE SUSPECT ON A TRAFFIC STOP. THE DRIVER GAVE A FALSE NAME AND DATE OF BIRTH. AFTER BEING IDENTIFIED, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE DRIVER’S LICENSE WAS SUSPENDED. HE WAS ARRESTED.
