Six month undercover operation results in 15 felony warrants for 12 suspects

     The Nacogdoches County Constable Office has concluded a six month undercover operation that has resulted in 15 felony warrants for 12 suspects. Five Deputy Constables from precinct 4 started the drug round up early Friday morning by executing a search warrant on Perry Street. Constable Bridges stated that his office had conducted undercover purchases of cocaine and marijuana from the residence. Upon serving the search warrant officers found 2 pounds of marijuana hidden inside, a pistol and other drug paraphernalia. Perry Sander 30 years of age and Michael White 35 years of age were both arrested at the scene for possession of marijuana state jail felony and felon in possession of a firearm.

     Constable Bridges also stated that the have arrested Amatternise Harris 32 years of age at her residence for delivery of a controlled substance a 3rd felony. Warrants were also served on Autumn Broadway 27 years of age from Nacogdoches for delivery of a controlled substance State jail Felony. Warrants for Injury to a child, 2nd felony was also served on Jarcory Bussey. Jarcory Bussey and his wife, Melanie Arnold were recently arrested by the constable office on a search warrant on 04-06-2012 for multiple drug charges. Constable Bridges stated that there were also two young children living in the residence at the time under the age of 5 years old. During the search warrant deputies found crack cocaine concealed inside kids food in the pantry along with other drugs that were easily accessible to the children. Constable Bridges stated that his office worked with Child Protective Services to whom the children were released to. During that time we had the kids checked out medically and physically to make sure they were in good health. Drug screens on the children came back positive for multiple types of drugs. Bridges stated that Cocaine, Marijuana and Methamphetamine were found inside the two small children blood system. These were the same type of drugs that were also found at the residence. Additional charges were added, due to these parents placing their children in imminent danger.

     Constable Bridges stated they there office has arrested four of the 12 suspects in this investigation and will continue the drug round up into the weekend. During this investigation our office has conducted 7 search warrants that have resulted in over 10 pounds of marijuana being confiscated, 6 ounces of cocaine, 37 grams of crack cocaine, two ounces of methamphetamine, several guns and numerous stolen property.

     Bridges stated that many of the defendants have been linked together and have been selling several pounds of marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine and methamphetamine in Nacogdoches County. These arrests will certainly play a large part in the amount of drugs being distributed in our county.

     Constable Bridges stated that this is the Constable Office third drug round up in the last three years that has resulted in over 60 felony drug arrest. We are seeing a significant reduction in methamphetamine and other drugs in our precinct due to these arrest.
