Constable Office Precinct 4 and the NPD arrest two for Burglary of a Building

     The Nacogdoches County Constable Office Precinct 4 and the Nacogdoches Police Department stopped a burglary in progress last night around 11:00 pm in the city of Nacogdoches. Two men from Nacogdoches were caught inside a building in the process of stealing copper.

Walker

     Constable Jason Bridges stated that his office has been working an ongoing investigation into copper thefts for the last six months. We have seen a sharp increase in the last year of copper theft crimes, due to the value of copper and metal. Bridges stated that we have identified several groups in Nacogdoches County that we believe are engaging in unlawful activity to steal copper.

     Constable Bridges stated that the course of this investigation lead officers to gain information of a building that was going to be burglarized on hunter street in the city of Nacogdoches. The Constable Office identified both subjects and started conducting surveillance.

     The Constable Office was joined by the Nacogdoches Police Department Thursday night in a joint effort to apprehend the suspects. Around 11:00 pm both agencies observed two suspects enter into a building on hunter road without consent of the owner. Officers went into the building a short time later and found the suspects in the act of stealing copper from the building.

     David Driver 19 years of age and Joshua Walker 21 years of age both from Nacogdoches Texas were arrested and charged with Burglary of a Building State Jail Felony. Both Subjects were transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.

    I have known Jason since the early 80’s and he has always had his moral compas going the right way. I am glad to see him about to progress further up the chain. Hated moving back home to find all the issues but i am glad to know he will be able to FIX things on a larger scale. Great job Jason stay alert and keep your. powder dry

      now–that Bridges caught these guys, can they go replace all the copper wiring they stole without arrest out of Babydolls (which is private property)

    Jason Bridges knows criminals don’t respect city limits boundaries or county lines and will follow them wherever they go. Great Job, Mr. Bridges you will make a very good Sheriff.
