
Stephen F. Austin State University will welcome nationally recognized stand-up comedian James P. Connolly to Nacogdoches for an evening of live comedy at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, in Turner Auditorium, located in the Griffith Fine Arts Building.
Stephen F. Austin State University will welcome nationally recognized stand-up comedian James P. Connolly to Nacogdoches for an evening of live comedy at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, in Turner Auditorium, located in the Griffith Fine Arts Building.
The performance is presented by SFA’s Micky Elliott College of Fine Arts as part of the University Series.
Connolly is known for his clean, high-energy comedy and engaging storytelling. He has appeared on “America’s Got Talent,” Comedy Central, HBO and Netflix, and can be heard regularly on SiriusXM comedy channels. His approachable style and nationally recognized presence have made him a favorite with audiences across the country.
“We’ve had a great response from our community to comedy performances over the past two University Series seasons,” said Dr. Gary Wurtz, dean of the Elliott College of Fine Arts. “We’re excited to continue that momentum by bringing another well-known comedian to Nacogdoches and creating a night during which our audiences can relax and laugh together.”
The University Series brings acclaimed performers to the SFA campus while welcoming audiences from across East Texas and beyond, offering opportunities for the community to experience high-quality live performances close to home.
