Wednesday July 25, 2012 – Thursday July 26, 2012

On 7-25-2012 an Officer made contact with two suspicious subjects in the SFA Arboretum. The Officer located one of the subjects to be in possession of marihuana. There is one suspect.

On 7-23-2012 an Officer made contact with three suspicious subjects in the SFA Arboretum. The Officer discovered all three subjects to be in possession of marihuana. There are three suspects.

Monday July 23, 2012 – Tuesday July 24, 2012

On 7-23-2012 an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to a Theft. Upon arrival the Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 7-23-2012 her unattended cell phone was stolen from the East College Cafeteria. There are no suspects.

Friday July 20, 2012 – Monday July 23, 2012

On 7-22-2012 an Officer made contact with a vehicle parked in the roadway on Hayter St. The Officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle, who the Officer discovered was a minor and had been consuming an alcoholic beverage. The subject was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail without incident. There is one suspect.

On July 20, 2012 an officer was contacted by telephone at the University Police Department in reference to a sexual assault that occurred in 1976 and 1977. The complainant stated that a known male had sexually assaulted him on more than one occasion during this time frame. Due to the complainant being 18 years of age at the time of the offense, the Statue of Limitations has passed for this offense. Therefore, this complaint cannot be criminally prosecuted.
